Billie is the brains and organiser behind the dance troupe Hip Op-eration, a group of senior Waiheke Island residents, including several over 90 years of age, and some with walking frames, sticks and wheelchairs. Billie established the world’s oldest flash mob which performed in Auckland's CBD and suburbs for a year, before evolving into a hip hop group.
2014 was a stellar year for Billie and Hip Op-eration, with their feature documentary winning three major prizes at the National Film awards. The crew also travelled to Las Vegas as a supporting act, at the World Hip Hop Championships, and to Taiwan for a similar event.
